About this course:
You will learn how to use digital painting tools to create dynamic paintings that go beyond the photo. Harness the power of composition, value, and color to push storytelling with lighting and color in your digital AND traditional paintings.
In Parts 1-6, Tiffanie talks about how to use matrix studies to figure out the big design of your painting and free yourself from being a slave to the details of the photo. She then shows how to use tricks on Photoshop to edit photos and play with color and values and does a demo of how to creatively interpret a photo and push colors.
In the rest of the course, Mike talks about how films use color to harness emotion and mood, and how to apply the psychological use of colors into paintings. He also shows how to use the gamut mask tool in a digital painting and gouache painting of the same photo.
