Part 3: Matrix Study Exercise

Studying the masters is a great way to get used to doing matrix studies because the composition is already defined!

SUGGESTED EXERCISE: Save some images of fine art masters such as Edgar Payne, William Wendt, Sorolla, Sargeant, and more, and practice doing daily matrix studies. One a day can go along way. Remember, you are not trying to recreate the original image, but distilling the original image to the most important light dark patterns. You are reducing the image to its most fundamental shape- terms.
